Bright Friday is RIGHT around the corner! We're hoping you'll help us Spread the Good™ and turn Bright Friday into an annual Thanksgiving tradition for you, your friends and family.
We started Bright Friday in 2014 to encourage people to focus on the true meaning of Thanksgiving - being with family and friends and being thankful for all that is Good in our lives and in the world. This is a time to slow down and focus on people – not purchases – during the Thanksgiving holiday.
The idea is on Thanksgiving we gather with friends to celebrate the gifts we have been given in life. We encourage friends and families to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together – whatever that looks like for you - and share thoughts on what you’re grateful for in your life. Click here for some wonderful questions to inspire Thanksgiving conversations at the table.
After your Thanksgiving meal, it’s time to think about how you can give back to others on Bright Friday, using the gifts that you have been given in life. Click here for some fun ideas, such as… sharing inspirational notes, bookmarks, painted kindness rocks, or care packages for the homeless. Then, the most rewarding part… go out into the world – individually or as a group. Here, at Be Good to People, our greatest joys come from giving to others on Bright Friday. It’s a fantastic way to go into the rest of the holiday season!
Let Us Know You're In!
Take pictures and videos of your Bright Friday experience and share them on your social media. Be sure to include @BeGoodToPeople #BrightFriday #BGTP so we can see and share what our Good-doers are up to.
Finally, we would like to express our immense gratitude for YOU. If you are reading this, you are part of our beloved Be Good to People community and YOU are the reason we get up each day and do what we do. We wouldn’t be here without you and it’s your stories, kind words, and pictures that inspire us to create a kinder world. Thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With love and gratitude… wishing you and your beloveds a safe, healthy and happy Thanksgiving.
